We woke up early and were ready to hit the road by 6:45am. We had 94 miles to ride, and we never know what to expect, so the earlier we get started the better. Well, we had nothing to worry about. It was a stellar day. The road conditions were again perfect. We actually stayed right on highway 90 almost all day. It was a little cooler starting early, which again, was a plus. I rode by myself today and listened to a book on my ipod and the miles just melted away. I only stopped twice. Once at the sag stop for water and bathroom, and once for ice cream and bathroom. I hit Marianna about 12:30 and had a burger and milk shake at Sonic Burgers. I really have to stop eating like this. Some of the girls saw alligators today and got some cool pictures. I will try to put them on the blog. We have moved a little farther north in the last two days, so we are not riding along the beach anymore. We are riding through the panhandle. Tomorrow we cross the Chattahoochee River and we enter the eastern time zone. We are going to celebrate with breakfast at the Waffle House. (everything seems to revolve around food!!!!)
42 days down and 7 days to go.
42 days down and 7 days to go.
We continue to be impressed! Look forward to seeing!
