Day Thirty-six - Lafayette to St. Francisville

Today was our third 80+ mile day in a row. Unlike yesterday, we all loved it. Once we crossed the Mississippi River, everything changed. We did a slight climb up into the little town of St. Francisville with it's extremely well manicured lawns and quaint little shops. It was like a picture postcard. We stopped in the visitors center to get some postcards and the women there told us that Ann Butler, the owner of the Butler Plantation where we would be staying, has been looking forward to our arrival. We hurried and cycled out to the plantation. It is beautiful!!!!! Tomorrow is a rest day and we will be spending it here. Wow!

32 days down and 18 days to go.
