Today was a very pleasant day. I rode with Karen C. and Sue. We have all decided that we love the Florida roads. People here must pay their taxes, because we have had great smooth shoulders to ride on. The weather is warming up each day. I was looking at Texas on the weather the other day and it was covered with rain clouds. It appears we are staying just ahead of the storms. We've been very lucky. We rode 70 miles today with 1709 feet of elevation gain. We got in in plenty of time to hit the pool and relax before dinner. We are excited and a little sad that the days are winding down. We only have seven riding days left. We've been hitting bike shops along the route trying to get state bike socks. We aren't having very much luck. The shop we went to today is in the middle of a remodel and has hardly anything in stock. Didn't they know we were coming?
